MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF ORBY PARISH COUNCIL

HELD AT 7 PM ON WEDNESDAY 25th NOVEMBER 2020 BY WAY OF A VIRTUAL ZOOM MEETING

The Meeting began with a Presentation from Russell Crockford LCC Highways

 

Followed by a Public Participation Session

1. Chairman’s Comments

The Chairman welcomed Ms Donna Taylor who has completed and signed her Acceptance of Office Infront of the Clerk.

2. Apologies for absence

Cllr Inkley, this apology was unanimously accepted.

3. Declaration of Interests

4. Meeting minutes to be approved

It was unanimously agreed that the Chairman should sign the minutes of the meeting held on 30th September 2020

5. Correspondence received

6.Finance

Salary October & November   £253.60

Clarks Clerical Services £25.85

It was unanimously agreed that these payments should be made.

b) Balance of accounts

Current      £ 4954.63

Savings      £ 3076.16 (awaiting cheque for the closing balance of this account)

c)  To discuss budget and set precept for 2021/22 – information sent to Councillors before the meeting.

This was discussed and it was unanimously agreed that the precept claim should remain at £2765.00

7. Planning

Planning Permission - Erection of spa building consisting of a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, snow room, gym, spinning room, treatment rooms, golf simulator, changing rooms, additional cafe seating area and a plant room and construction of additional vehicular parking areas. Erection of 1 no. pair of semi-detached holiday cottages and 1 no. block of 5 no. holiday cottages partly on the site of existing toilet block which is to be demolished. Change of use of land for the siting of 6 no. log cabins. Change of use of wooded area for the siting of 33no. static caravans. Change of use of land for the siting of 9 no. static caravans which is an amendment to that approved under planning permission reference N/134/00867/16 (works complete). It was unanimously agreed that the Council would write to Highways requesting a relief road for Orby.

9. Orby Village Green

The piece of ground was the Village Green, it was discussed however as to whether the PC wishes to take control of it again. There is however permission in place to use the green for 3 events a year.
