Exciting News!
Further to the meeting of the Parish Council on Wednesday evening (Jan 28th) we are delighted to confirm that the Parish Council has accepted the offer, from East Lindsey District Council, that will see the transfer of the green open space, in the centre of the village, to the Parish Council, for the princely sum of £1 plus legal costs. Now that the transfer has been agreed, there is a need for residents who want to see this space properly maintained and also utilised for community events, to come together in the creation of a new Community Association.
If you would like to get involved with looking after this new asset and supporting your village community in this new venture please call the Parish Clerk, Alan Vassar on 07935 150634 or email him vassar.alan@gmail.com. He will be happy to fill you in with more detail.
The Community Association will act in its own right and will have its own constitution, bank account and will elect its own chairman. It will also be supported by the Parish council to bid for its own funding so it can run successfully as a stand alone body. The Parish council will give any necessary support to the Association so it can thrive in its own right.
Could you please let Alan know by February 12th if you would like to be part of this exciting new chapter."
