Minutes Sept 2025 PC Meeting - Orby

Orby Parish Council

Notice is hereby given that the Orby Parish Council meeting took place on:

Wednesday 24th September 2025, Village Hall, Orby at 7pm

Prior to the meeting, there was a Public Forum commencing at 7pm and during this time, Members of the public could ask questions, or make short statements to the Council.

The Council meeting commenced at 7.15pm.

Public Forum

A comment was made about the Clerk not responding to a letter sent to his home re: dog poo bins. The Clerk pointed out that he had been on holiday for a couple of weeks and had only just returned to find the letter. If it had been emailed than he would have dealt with the query whilst he was away.

The issue is that the grit bins are being used to deposit poo bags in as there is no other in the vicinity to deposit these in.

ELDC are reluctant to provide more bins because of the labour costs of keeping them empty. Anderby PC ‘inherited’ 3 such bins and placed them in the vicinity, only to find that every one was removed by ELDC and disposed of.

The matter will be referred to Cllr Eyres.

Planning for a caravan site in Ingoldmells? Cllr Davie has called this into Planning Committee, but having Orby PC object will not influence the decision at all.
